Investec, the financial-services company, has announced an increase in its earnings per share guidance for the first half of fiscal 2024. The company now expects its basic earnings per share for the six months ending on September 30 to be in the range of 69.0 pence to 70.0 pence. This is a significant rise from the 50.6 pence reported in the first half of fiscal 2023. Previously, in September, the company had projected a range of 67.2-69.2 pence.

Additionally, Investec has revised its adjusted EPS expectations for the first half of the year. The new range is between 38.0 pence and 39.0 pence, as compared to the previous range of 35.5 pence to 37.5 pence. In the previous year, the adjusted EPS was reported at 32.9 pence.

The headline EPS is now expected to be between 36.5 pence and 37.5 pence, up from the previous range of 33.8-35.8 pence. In the comparable period last year, the headline EPS stood at 32.0 pence.

Investec will be announcing its first-half results on November 16.
